Latency is the time delay from the input signal to the output signal, including analog-to-digital conversion (or sample rate conversion), audio processing, and digital-to-analog conversion. Latency can become important in some applications, such as where multiple audio streams are being mixed together or in applications where audio and video must be synced. All miniDSP products, except for those deploying long FIR filters, have low latency.
